Derrick Moss
Chairman
I started riding bikes in 1970 and although i have owned various makes and sizes the Honda's had always been my preferance until recently.I first joined the Goldwing Owners Club in 1982 when i was riding a GL1000, in 1984 i became a member of the Honda Owners club in Southport, this developed into the Southport Beachcombers MCC and i was the Chairman upto it disbanding in 1987, i then joined Leyland Eagles and stayed with them until i sold my bike in 1989. I was then without a bike until 2000 when i bought a 1985 Honda Magna 700 American import. The Goldwing was purchased in July 2004 and i rejoined the Goldwing owners club, Pam and i decided to go to the British Treffen, meeting Charlie Brown and his family their, it was a cold wet one and for us lasted only 2 nights. We kept in touch with Charlie through the winter of 04/05 and i joined the River View MCC. Then in May/June 05 we did a number of rally's with Charlie and Paul Goddard and from there the Cruisers where formed. In July 08 we sold the Goldwing and bought a BMW K1200 LT LUX.This bike was far too technical for me so in October 2008 we changed again. We are now owners of a 1450cc Harley Davidson Heritage Softail.
